Stash-Buster Project #4 & what I've been up to these week . . .

First I would like to WELCOME my new followers and readers !! I hope you enjoy what I will be sharing with you !

These days I'm being an 'all over the place crafter' . . . yes, I have started several different projects at the same time. 

Last week I got mail. I had order from a shop in Madrid this vinyl fabric, nice eh ?

Primero me gustaria dar una gran BIENVENIDA a mis nuevas seguidoras y lectoras !! Espero que disfruteis lo que voy a compartir con vosotras ! 

Estos dias he 'hecho un poco de todo' . . . y he empezado varios proyectos al mismo tiempo. 

La semana pasada me llego un paquete en el correo. Había pedido esta tela plastificada de una tienda de Madrid, bonita eh ? 

I am working on a project with it. This bias binding tape is actually one I already had as this is the one I use for pinky buntings, and the spotty fabric behind is the one I will use for the inside of the project. 

Estoy trabajando en un proyecto con ella. La cinta bies es una que ya tenia ya que esta es la que uso para los banderines rosa, y la tela de puntitos es la que ira como forro del proyecto. 

But for the moment I cannot tell you what this will be as I don't know if it will come out 'presentable' to show it here. . . :-)

Pero por el momento no os puedo contar que será ya que no se si me saldrá o no lo que quiero hacer y si estará 'presentable'  para enseñarlo aquí . . .:-)

Here is a teaser of it only. . . now the reason I don't know how it will come out is that I have never worked with vinyl fabric before. 

And the bias binding. . . hmmm, I'm not sure I will use it in the end either.... anyway,  when I finish whatever comes out of this, if it's presentable, I will show it to you. If not. . . maybe I will show it too and tell you what did not work. 

Aqui tenéis una pista . . . la razón por la que no se si funcionara es porque nunca antes he cosido tela plastificada.

Y la cinta bies. . . hmmm, no estoy segura aun de la usare o no tampoco. . . bueno, cuando acabe lo que salga de aquí, si se puede enseñar, os lo mostrare. Si no. . . igual os lo muestro también y os cuento porque no ha salido bien.

I have also been working on this other project. . . actually, this is a custom order for my lovely brother and sister in law. And I am under pressure to finish it as the baby is due in about a week !! 

Yes, another bunting !! I can't help it. They wanted something with the name of their baby on it, they already know it's a boy even though they are not Spanish or don't live in Spain they wanted to find out before birth. 

The colors had to be beige, brown, natural, earthy . . .with the name of the baby. 

So I'm making this bunting, with something different  (to what I have done in other buntings) at both ends

También he estado trabajando en este otro proyecto . . . este es un pedido para mis queridos cuñados. Y tengo la presión ya que esperan el bebe la próxima semana !! 

Si, lo se . . .otro banderín ! no lo puedo evitar. Querían algo con el nombre del bebe, ya saben que será un niño. 

Los colores que me pidieron eran beige, natural, marron . . .colores tierra . . . y el nombre del bebe. 

Así que estoy haciendo este banderín con algo diferente a mis otros banderines en los extremos. 

I wanted to give it that rustic look too by using a darker thread and kind of uneven too . . . I think it looks nice in this occasion. . .  

Y le quise dar un toque rustico usando un hilo que resaltara y también coserlo un poco mas desigual . . .y me gusta como ha quedado . . .

I would also like to make a matching cushion but I still have to design it, I have a rough idea but I have to work on it more until I'm 100% happy with it. 

These are the two main reasons why I have not been stash-busting too much these days. . . 

But I still have managed to make these cute crocheted pin cushions: 

También me gustaría hacer un cojín a juego pero aun tengo que diseñarlo, tengo una idea pero aun tengo que perfilarlo hasta que este 100% contenta con el diseño.

Estas son las principales razones por las que no he estado haciendo mucho para el Reto Lanas Fuera  estos días . . .

My First Blog Award !

Hello everyone !

I am so excited and happy because I just got my first blog award nomination and thank to Elizabeth @ Elizyart I feel like I won an Oscar last night !!

Que contenta me he puesto al recibir mi primer premio de l blog gracias a Elizabeth de Elyzart siento como si hubiera ganado un Oscar !!

So following the rules, here are 11 Fact about me: 

1. I love chocolate, I'm chocoholic, but only dark chocolate, cannot be bother with milk chocolate.

2. I love cookbooks, specially those of English and Irish cooks

3. I watch films in original version when that is possible

4. I dont like milk (only would drink a bit with coffee or tea or hot chocolate but I cannot even sip milk on its own. 

5.  I love magazines ! But only three kinds: food, interior decoration and crafts. 

6. I drink camomile tea with aniseed every night and I accompany it with a square of dark chocolate (Lindt 70% is one of my favourites)

7. I consider myself a winter person but I love having 4 seasons and the moment the seasons change. I could not live in a place where you have the same temperature the whole year. 

8. I have always been attracted to the northern countries, have never been in the Nordics (except for Denmark) but they fascinate me.

9. It bothers me when people arrive late at the cinema. 

10. I believeI have won the lottery of life everyday, with my family and good health. I am married to the love of my life, have 2 beautiful children and have wonderful parents and brothers. 

11. I love country houses, and the idea of the country but I have never lived in the country and I have a 'phobia' of all bugs and insects, etc. . . However, as I get older I tend to get away from the city centre, but I still need to be within a reasonable distance. My ideal place would be a village feel place in the outskirts of a city. 

Siguiendo las reglas, aqui teneis 11 hechos sobre mi: 
1.Me encanta el chocolate, soy adicta al chocolate, pero tiene que ser puro, el chocolate con leche puedo pasar sin el.
2. Me encantan los libros de cocina especialmente de cocineros Ingleses e Irlandeses. 
3. Veo las películas en versión original siempre que puedo. 
4. No me gusta la leche (solo tomo un poco con cafe o te o sino en mi ColaCao que me encanta, pero no puedo dar ni un sorbito de leche sola.
5. Me encantan las revistas.  Pero especialmente de comida, decoración y manualidades.
6. Bebo manzanilla con anis  todas las noches con una onza de chocolate puro (uno de mis favoritos es Lindt 70%, 
7. Me considero una persona de invierno pero me gusta tener 4 estaciones y ver su cambio de una a otra. No podría vivir en un sitio donde se tiene el mismo clima todo el año. 
8. Siempre me han atraído los países nórdicos, nunca he estado (solo en Dinamarca) pero me fascinan !
9. Me molesta que la gente llegue tarde al cine. 
10. Siento que gano la lotería todos los días, la de la salud, estar casada con el amor de mi vida y tener dos hijos preciosos y unos padres y hermanos maravillosos. 
11. Me encantan las casas de campo, pero me dan pánico los bichos !! he,he. Sin embargo tampoco me gusta ya estar en el centro de una ciudad. Mi lugar ideal seria estar en sitio con aire de pueblo pero a las afueras de una gran ciudad. 

Now, my answers to Elizabeth questions: 
Y ahora mis respuestas a las preguntas de Elizabeth: 

1. What is your favourite colour? - it depends for what. As an accent colour in decoration it would be RED. For clothing or wearing it would be CREAM or BROWN, but I also love PINK in general as it is such a happy colour !
   
   1. cual es tu color favorito ? depende de para que. Como color para la decoración seria el rojo, solo como acento. Para ropa me gustan los tonos tierra y marrones, pero me encanta el rosa porque creo que es un color muy alegre. 
2. Do you believe in love at first sight? Why/Why not? - Yes, why ? Because I experienced it. Not sure if I would call it love at first sight or destiny.  

   
   

   2. Crees en amor a primera vista ?  Porque/ Porque no ? - Si, porque ? Porque lo he vivido. Aunque no estoy segura de si lo llamaría amor a primera vista o destino. 
3. Why did you first start blogging?- I was crafting on my own, at home and started reading blogs about 2 years ago and started to feel that I also wanted to be able to share, learn and network with others that had the same hobbies as I do. 

   
   

   3. Porque empezaste un blog ? - Yo hacia costura, ganchillo siempre, en casa y comencé a leer blogs hace unos 2 años y empece a sentir que también quería poder compartir y aprender, relacionarme con gente que tuviera mis mismos intereses y hobbies. 
4. Are you an early bird or night owl? - definitely early bird. However having a toddler and a 4 year old I appreciate when I get a little extra time in the morning and can stay in bed, as it is a treat now !
   

   
   

   4. Eres una persona de mañana o de noche ?  -  Definitivamente de mañana. Aunque ahora como tengo una niña y un bebe siempre que puedo me quedo un ratito mas en la cama, cuando me dejan, claro, que no es a menudo !
5. What’s your favourite holiday destination? - this is a difficult one ! I normally like spending 1 week in the beach somewhere in Spain, but could not be more than a week. Last year we did a driving holidays in the north of Spain and south of France (Bearn region) and I loved our holidays too. . .

   
   

   5. Cual es tu lugar preferido de vacaciones ? -  esta es una pregunta difícil ! Normalmente pasamos 1 semana en la playa por los peques, en algún lugar de España, pero tampoco me gusta estar mas de una semana. El año pasado cambiamos la playa por el Norte de España y Sur de Francia (la región del Bearn) y nos encanto !
6. What is one of your life goals? - The number one now is be a good mother but in general my goals would be: feel happy most of the time, keep appreciating the simple things in life and be in peace with myself. 
   

   
   

   6. Cual es una de tus metas en la vida ? -  El numero uno ahora es ser una buena madre pero en general serian: ser feliz la mayor parte de mi vida, y seguir apreciando siempre las cosas pequeñas y sencillas y estar en paz conmigo misma.

8. Coffee or tea? hmm both !! I like coffee in the morning then at midmorning I would have a tea.

9. What is your favourite animal and why? - that has to be a horse, I don't know why, it is just the animal I feel more in connection with.

10. Which well-known person would you like to meet and why? - Meryl Streep possibly, she is one of my favourite actresses.

11. If you could be a ‘fly on the wall’ where would you go and why? to my children's school and creche, I would just love to see them interacting with other children. Children can have such funny reactions !

What is your craft mood ?

Hello everyone!

I have been thinking about this several times in the last two weeks.

Sometimes I feel I am in one or another craft mood . . .does this sound weird or familiar to you ?
For me crafting is (in a way) like perfum. We don't normally wear the same fragrance in summer than we do in winter or during the day and the night. I don't, do you ?

Lo que quiero compartir hoy con vosotras es algo que llevo ya pensando un par de semanas.

A veces pienso que estoy en un tipo de humor con respecto a las manualidades, os suena raro esto o quizás familiar? Para mi hacer manualidades es (en cierta manera) como el perfume. No llevamos la misma fragancia en verano que en invierno o durante el día y la noche. O si ?

Also it depends what mood are you in . . . sometimes you just feel you have to wear a sharper fragance, other times you just need something subtle and easy to wear . . . right ?

For me crafting is similar. You see, a few years ago I was completely in a crosstitch mood and I made these (except for the bottom-right one that was made by my mother for my daughter).

También depende de como te sientas en ese momento. . .a veces el perfume tiene que ser sutil y otras veces necesitas algo mas fuerte...verdad ?

Para mi con las manualidades me pasa un poco lo mismo. Veréis, hace unos años estaba totalmente inmersa en punto de cruz e hice esto (excepto lo de abajo a la derecha que es un cuadro que hizo mi madre para mi hija)

I love roses and the rose below is stitched in linen, which I love when working on a crosstitch project. 
These roses are still waiting for me to decide what will I make with them (a cushion as crossed my mind several times . . .)
The heart is an unfinished project I started some 6 years ago. It was supposed to be a filled heart that would hand from our Christmas tree. . .

Me encantan las rosas y la de abajo esta bordad sobre lino, me encanta el lino para el punto de cruz.
Esta rosa aun esta esperando a que me decida que hacer con ella (la idea de hacer un cojín ha cruzado mi cabeza varias veces . . . )
El corazón es un proyecto sin terminar que empece hace unos 6 años. Se supone que iba a ser un corazón relleno que colgaría de nuestro árbol de Navidad . . .

When my daughter was born I had less and less time and I started leaving crosstitch on a side as I feel it requires more concentration, preparation and the projects tend to be longer and slower. 

Cuando nació mi hija poco a poco tenia menos tiempo y empece a dejar de lado el punto de cruz ya que requería mas concentración, preparación y los proyectos tienden a ser mas largos y lentos.

When I was a teenager I learned to crochet and made these, amongst other things (picture below)
The backbag (picture below:top left) is my own creation and my own design and I made several for friends gifts (as those kind of bags were much in vogue at the time). I now feel very proud of it as I did not use any pattern or any other bag to make this one. It was just in my head the bag I wanted it, and as I could not afford to buy anything at that time (student times) I made my own. . . I never wrote the pattern but I am happy I still keep 2 of the bags I made so I can still copy them if I wanted to make one today. 

Cuando era adolescente aprendi a hacer ganchillo e hice esto, entre otras cosas (foto abajo).
La mochilita (foto arriba a la derecha) es una creation y diseño propio e hice varias que regale a mis amigas. Las mochilas de ganchillo estuvieron de moda durante unos años. Ahora me siento muy orgullosa de ella ya que no use patrón ni ninguna otra mochila para fijarme. Tenia la idea en la cabeza y            
como ademas no me podía permitir comprar una pues me la hice yo. . . nunca escribí el patrón  pero estoy contenta de que aun tengo 2 de esas mochilas que hice porque puedo copiarlas si quisiera hacer una hoy.

Then I kind of left the craft for a few years. I made some of the towel endings (shown below) or the jam jar top (bottom right) but only small things.

Después deje el ganchillo durante unos años. Hice algunas cosas pequeñas como puntillas para toallas o  la puntilla para los botes de mermelada (abajo a la derecha).

Other times I am an 'all over the place crafter' I start lots of things at the same time (which normally does not end up very well, as one of the projects gets far less attention than others and often forgotten in my 'forgotten drawer')

Otras veces hago varias cosas al mismo tiempo, empiezo varios proyectos de cosas diferentes como algo de punto de cruz, algo de ganchillo, etc al mismo tiempo y voy alternando. Pero esto no suele acabar bien ya que algunos proyectos se llevan mas atención que otros y acaban el cajón del olvido.

I have been lucky to grow up in a household and family where crafting happened everyday. My mum, my aunt and granny used to sew, embroider, crochet every day. When did not make something we were in the local store buying supplies (either fabrics, or zips, ribbon, thread, etc, etc)

He tenido mucha suerte de haber crecido en un hogar donde se hacían cosas todos los días. Mi madre, mi tía y mi abuela cosían, bordaban, hacían ganchillo cada día. Y cuando no estaban haciendo algo, es porque teníamos que ir a la tienda de retales o la mercería para comprar mas telas, hilos, cremalleras, etc

I still admire how my mum used to made me things out of the German version of Burda (it was the only version in Spain available in the 70's and 80's). One day I will also show you some of the embroidered dresses she made for me (we digged them down last weekend as we spent it at my parents place)

Todavia admiro como mi madre solía hacer ropa del Burda alemán. En los años 70 y 80 el único Burda que se podía conseguir en España era la versión alemana. Un día os enseñare los vestidos de nido de abeja que me hizo mi madre cuando yo era una niña (los sacamos el fin de semana pasado de donde estaban guardados en casa de mis padres)

At the moment I'm doing more crochet, so I could say I'm in a crochet mood. Basically because it is the only craft I can make even if I only have 5 mins (i.e:waiting for the kitchen floors to get dry) or while my kids are having their afternoon snack . . . My sewing is waiting for me at my crafting corner and it is in need of some TLC but I find it is something that I have to have the time to prepare and I cannot do it while the kids are around)

En este momento estoy haciendo mas ganchillo que otra cosa, así que podemos decir que estoy en 'modo ganchillo'. Y esto se debe mas que nada a que es lo único que siento que puedo hacer si solo tengo 5 minutos (por ejemplo mientras se seca el suelo de la cocina. . .je,je) o mientras los peques se toman la merienda. . . Mi costura me espera en mi rincón de costura pero nunca encuentro el hueco.

I have several crosstitch project that I have started but are not finished. And others that I bought all the threads and linen to do the projects but I did not even start.
And I have seen lately the mixture of both, crochet + crosstitch and it cannot leave my head ! It is so beautiful !


También tengo varios proyectos de punto de cruz sin terminar y algunos incluso con todo el material pero sin empezar la labor.
Y ultimamente he visto muchas cosas que mezclan ambos el ganchillo con el punto de cruz y no me lo quito de la cabeza, queda tan bonito !!

I do believe in this and I have believed in it for a long time.

Seguro que ya habréis visto la nueva imagen en la parte derecha de mi blog.
Bueno, esto es algo que quiero compartir con vosotr@s.

Alguna vez habéis pensado que crochet  (u otras manualidades) os pueden ayudar a mejorar vuestra calidad de vida ?

Yo si lo creo y lo he creído durante mucho tiempo.
Nos mantiene ocupadas y la mente también, nos da un sentido de haber conseguido algo, de interactuar con otros (si tenéis un blog o seguis algún blog), os hace sentir vivas,  útiles, creativas !

Por eso cuando leí sobre este proyecto supe que tenia que co-operar.

Stash-Buster Project #3

Well, this is it !! This blanket I showed at its early stages here. This is actually the next project: to finish yet another blanket.  This is the yarn I have left to finish so I will just make it the size that the stash allows me to. . . 

I still have to decide on what edge/border finish I give to it, but once I finish it I will show you the end result and let you know.

Este es mi siguiente proyecto !!! Esta manta que os enseñe aquí. Es mi siguiente proyecto: terminar otra manta mas.
Estas son las lanas que me quedan para ello así que la haré tan grande como las lanas me permitan. ..

Aun tengo que decidir que borde le pongo como remate, pero una vez la tenga terminada os lo enseñare y os diré que borde he utilizado.

No hearts or Valentine messages or pictures today.
Just a number: 39 . . . is how many years ago I came into this world a day like today.
So today I will be working (as usual) but after that I will be out celebrating with my dear and lovely husband and later also with my beautiful children.

Hoy no tengo corazones ni mensajes de San Valentin, ni fotos.
Solo un numero: 39 ... es el numero de años que hoy hace que vine al mundo.
Así que hoy estaré trabajando (como todos los dias) pero después me iré a celebrarlo con mi querido y maravilloso marido y mis preciosos niños.

Will I make a quilt one day ? I wonder . . .

I have been playing with the idea of trying out some real patchwork. I say real because I did tried before but I had very rudimentary means to do it. I cut the pattern pieces out of cereal card-boxes and then draw them on to the fabrics. I did not have a sewing machine at the time and so I sew them by hand. 

Llevo algún tiempo con la idea de hacer algo de patchwork 'de verdad'. Y digo de verdad porque ya he intentado hacer algo antes pero tenia medios bastante rudimentarios. Cortaba los patrones de las diferentes formas en una cartón de caja de cereales y después los dibujada en la tela para cortarlos con tijeras !!. Tampoco tenia maquina de coser así que lo cosí a mano. 

I'm talking about at least 10 years ago. I never finished the project and I actually had in mind a little quilt. Now, this is now stored away in my loft and in the room we used as guest bedroom and in a drawer I don't open very often but when I do open it I feel it is such a waste ! I just feel it is a project that I will never finish, like many others. Am I the only one that has different crafts unfinished projects ?? and that you feel you will never finish them because it is either a ver slow project and you get tired of it and fall out of that first burst of excitement or you just grew out of it and your likes changed ?

Esto de lo que hablo es de hace ya 10 años. Nunca termine esa labor que se supone iba a ser una colcha pequeña (de cuna). Ahora esta todo guardado en un cajón de la buhardilla y que no abrimos muy a menudo pero cuando lo abro y lo veo me da pena.  Y tengo el sentimiento de que es un proyecto que nunca terminare , como muchos otros.  Soy la única/o que tiene diferentes labores sin terminar ?? y ademas sientes que nunca terminaras porque bien ya no te gusta lo que ibas a hacer, estas cansada de ello porque es algo muy lento o simplemente se ha disipado la ilusión del primer momento ??

Well, for me in this case, when I look at it now, I realise what a bad choice of colours I made for my first patchwork project.  I chose different kinds of lavender with fairies and all its matching fabrics. 

Yes, instead of contrasting it with other colours and patterns I just bought the whole range of lilac !!! Duh !

Now the fairies fabric is really nice  but the the blocks as a whole just look flat as there is no contrast. 

Bien, para mi en este caso, cuando lo veo ahora, me doy cuenta de la mala elección de colores que hice para mi primer proyecto de patchwork. Elegí diferentes telas en lila con hadas y toda la variedad que hacia juego. 

Si, en lugar de elegir colores que hicieran contraste y combinaran fui y compre toda gama de lilas que había !! 

La tela de hadas es muy bonita pero los bloques juntos no quedan bien ya que no hay 'interés' ni contraste.

So, I lost all motivation to continue. 

Así que realmente perdi la motivación para continuar . 

However I love, I adore building up my fabric stash, it is still small but growing slowly as I am still making some personalised buntings. When I go to Etsy I'm like a child in a sweet shop. I visited Etsy again in January and revisited my favourites and added some more, but then I decided it was time to give it a try and order some this time. 

Sin embargo me encanta,  adoro hacer crecer mi colección de telas,  aun es muy pequeña pero crece poco a poco sobre todo porque sigo haciendo mis banderines personalizados. Cuando voy a Etsy soy como un niño en una tienda de dulces. Visite Etsy de nuevo en Enero y revisite mis favoritas y decidí que era hora de probar y comprar algo esta vez.  

They arrived last week, and it made me so happy and then I started to imagine all the things I could make with them ! It was so exciting !! 

Me llegaron la semana pasada y me hizo tan feliz ¡ Es uno de esos pequeños momentos y después me empece a imaginar todas las cosas que haría con las telas ! 

Now, I still have not decided what I will do with them, but the idea of making a quilt has not really left my head, and now I have a rotary cutter and the cutting mat so I'm better prepared for it. Time will tell.

Bueno, aun no he decidido que haré con ellas finalmente, pero sigo con la idea de hacer una colcha (pequeña) y ahora ya tengo la herramienta para cortar, el rotary cutter y la base para cortar así que estoy mejor preparada para ello. El tiempo lo dirá.

Stash-Buster Challenge Project #2

Hello ! 

Today I want to share with you what it will be my next project. I really, really want to finish off this blanket. I first showed you this blanket in this post.  First, I really want to see how it looks when it is finished, and second I want to move on to other projects (and I'm not going to hide it, buy more yarn !!)

I've actually been doing the little circles every now and then and I will now join them together with the blanket part that is already made. Then make another batch of them until the yarn is finished. 

I will let you know and show it when it is finished !!

Hoy quiero compartir con vosotras lo que será mi próximo proyecto. Y es que realmente quiero terminar esta manta. Os la enseñe por primera vez aquí. Primero la quiero terminar porque quiero ver como queda y segundo porque quiero poder pasar a hacer otras cosas (y no os voy a esconder que no puedo esperar a comprar mas lanas !!)

He estado haciendo estos circulitos en pequeños ratitos que tenia y ahora los uniré todos a la parte que ya estaba hecha. Después haré otra tanda de circulitos hasta que se me acabe la lana.

Os la enseñare una vez este terminada !!

Homemade Pizza Night

Hello !  (para version en Español por favor ver abajo)

Today is Friday and that in my home means normally pizza (not for my children as they are still small (2&4), but not any pizza, it has to be homemade.

A friend (male) recommended  me to try out this recipe as it worked for him.

Any other previous time I have tried to make pizza dough at home I ended up frustrated and angry that it did not work out properly.

So, the recipe is actually from the Jamie's Italy book. I have amended the recipe as I cannot find semolina where I live. And this is how I make it:

Ingredients:
500 grs of strong white flour
1 tbsp baking soda (the red brand we all know or just any brand)
1 sachet (around 16 grs) of yeast (this is the one that might come in cubes and is in the refrigerated area of the supermarket or dried in little sachets, I prefer the dried one in the sachets)
2 tbsp (optional) extra virgin olive oil
325ml tepid water (I put 100ml of tap-cold water and the rest from the kettle) 
1 teaspoon of sugar
pinch of salt

Keep a bowl with some flour on a side to help you then mix everything with your hands.

1. Put the flour in a big mixing bowl and empty the yeast and mix it together with the flour and the salt. 
2. In a measuring jar mix the water with the baking soda, sugar and olive oil (if adding), stir with a fork and let it sit for a couple of minutes.
3. Empty the jar mix with the flour mix and now is time to get your hands dirty.
this is when the bowl with flour will come handy.
4. Mix everything. I start with a wooden fork and once everything is mixed then I continue with my hands. I mix it in the bowl until your hands are clean of the mixture (you'll know when the mixture is no longer sticky, it takes a while. Add more flour if you think it is too watery. 
5. Make a ball with the mixture and leave in the bowl. Cover it with a clean damp kitchen towel or cloth. This will rise and double in size. If you can leave it for 30 mins but this is not necessary.

I normally split the mix in 2 or 3 balls and wrap them in cling separately, then freeze.

If you are going to use it straight away then lay a sheet of greaseproof paper on a worktop surface, sprinkle some flour and then spread it and flatten with a rolling pin . 

You will need to some flour to avoid the mixture sticking to the rolling pin and to the greaseproof paper.

Once is the size of your choice, you can add the toppings of your choice and voila !!

Ok, now the pizza bit is done 

(If any Italians are reading this they are probably taking their hand to the head, but as we dont have the proper ingredients, this is a nice version of the real thing ! ;-)

Hoy es viernes y eso en mi casa, significa noche de pizza (no para los peques que son muy pequeños todavia)

Un amigo nos recomendo probar esta receta ya que habia funcionado para el.

Otras veces que he intentado hacer masa de pizza en casa he acabado enfadada y frustrada porque no ha funcionado.

La receta es del libro Jamie's Italy (el cocinero ingles Jamie Oliver). He modificado la receta porque no puedo encontrar semolina donde vivo.

Así es como yo la hago:

Ingredientes:

500gr de harina de fuerza

1 cucharada sopera de levadura Royal

1 sobrecito (aprox. 16 grs) de levadura de panadero (se puede comprar fresca en la sección de refrigerados del super, o en sobrecitos, yo prefiero la que viene en sobres ya que se disuelve mejor, uso la marca Maizena)

2 cucharadas de aceite de oliva virgen extra (opcional)

325 ml de agua tibia-tirando a caliente. 

1 cucharadita de azúcar

pizca de salMantén un bol de harina al lado ya que te vendra bien cuando tengas que mezclarlo todo con las manos.

1. Pon la harina en un gran bol de mezclar y mezcla el sobre de levadura de panadero y la sal con la harina. Remueve con las manos. 

2. En una jarra de medir mezcla el agua tibia (yo echo 100 ml de agua fria y el resto de agua muy caliente) con la levadura Royal, azúcar y aceite de oliva (si decides añadirlo)

Remueve con un tenedor o cuchara y dejar reposar un par de minutos. 

3. Vacía el contenido de la jarra en el bol de la harina y ahora es cuando toca ensuciarse las manos. Y es aqui que te vendra bien el bol con harina al lado. 

4. Mezcla todo . Yo empiezo con un tenedor de madera y cuando ya esta todo mezclado continuo con las manos. Lo mezclo en el bol grande hasta que las manos estén limpias de mezcla. Lo sabrás porque ya no se te pegara a las manos, lleva un tiempo. Añade harina si crees que tiene demasiada agua. 

5.Haz una bola y dejala dentro del bol, cubrelo con un trapo de cocina limpio y humedecido. Veras que la mezcla dobla su tamaño. Puedes dejarlo 30 minutos pero no es necesario. Normalmente yo divido la mezcla en 2 o 3 bolas , las envuelvo en papel film y congelo.

Si vas a usarlas directamente pon en la encimera un papel de horno y espolvorea harina. Extiende la mezcla con un rodillo de cocina (espolvorea harina tambien en el rodillo)

Una vez este del tamaño deseado añade los ingredientes favoritos de la familia y Voila !

Once is the size of your choice, you can add the toppings of your choice and voila !!

(Si algún@ italian@ esta leyendo esto seguro que se echaran las manos a la cabeza, pero como no tenemos sus ingredientes esta es una version de la pizza real que sale bien y esta muy buena :-)

Today I want to share with you the last book I have bought, although I bought it in summer, I mentioned this book deserved a post of its own here.

Hoy quiero enseñaros el ultimo libro que me he comprado, aunque me lo compre en verano, mencione 
aqui que se merecia un articulo propio dentro de mi blog. 

Well this is the book, it is actually a creative sewing combined with crosstitch. And everything is based on the tales of Beatrix Potter and her gorgeous characters and drawings.

Este es el libro y nos muestra costura creativa combinado con punto de cruz. Y todo esta basado en las fábulas de la famosa Beatrix Potter y sus preciosos personajes y dibujos. 

I actually had my crosstitch period too, which is still there in my craft corner for sometime in the future when I feel in that mood again. At this moment I am in a crochet mood.

Yo también he tenido mi fase de punto de cruz, y aun esta ahí en mi rincón de costura para un futuro próximo cuando me sienta de nuevo en esa 'fase', ahora me encuentro en una fase de 'ganchillo'. 

I bought this gorgeous book in the summer, when I went to the southwest of France but I had my eye on it for a while already. 

It is from the author Chantal Sabatier and the publisher is Mango Pratique. 
I actually own another book from this author, I just love her delicate and elegant style.

Me compre este precioso libro en verano, cuando estuve en el sur-oeste pero la verdad es que le tenia el ojo echado por un tiempo.
