Hi,
Finally I can show you what I made with the oilcloth I received last week on the mail.
Hola !
This is it, a laptop sleeve cover. Actually, for my new Macbook.
Es esto, una funda para mi portátil. Bueno, para mi nuevo Macbook.
I'm not 100% happy with the result but I think I got myself into a quite difficult task for a first time sewing oilcloth and even lining the case ! So I am proud of what I made but I think I should have tried this first just with normal fabric. The lining is a cotton fabric in fuchsia with little white dots.
but at least it is presentable, isn't it ?
Perp al menos esta presentable no ?
I used this video as a tutorial for making it, again it is only in Spanish but I think the video itself without the sound is quite self-explanatory.
The measures she gives are for an iPad, but if anyone wants to make this for a Macbook 13" I can tell you the measures I used.
Have a happy Wednesday !!

Your laptop sleeve cover is quite lovely - I especially like the fabric that you used. To me, it looks like a job well done! Enjoy. :)
ReplyDeleteIt looks fantastic. You made that fast. I love the prints. Was the zipper tricky? I avoid zippers when I can but really want to do some zippered pouches.
ReplyDeleteYou've done a great job! Well done. :o)
ReplyDeleteBesos.
I love it! The fabric is wonderful! Elisabeth x
ReplyDeleteI love your cover too! I would like to sew such projects too, but at the moment I´m not courageois enough. Great job! Greetings from Germany.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for your lovely comment on my blog.
ReplyDeleteTrust me, your laptop cover is more than presentable - it's gorgeous. You are clever. I should get into a terrible pickle if I tried to sew with oilcloth.
Have a super weekend.
