A little break . . .

Ya que me tomare un pequeño descanso esta semana y también un descanso del blog, aunque esto no es voluntario, solo que desde el iPad no puedo ni crear ni editar noticias, cosa que encuentro muy frustrante. 

En fin, FELIZ NAVIDAD a todas/os los que me leéis por el mundo (por cierto, muchas gracias). 
Volveré bien justo antes del nuevo año o a principio de año y os enseñare nuevas creaciones. 

Just wanted to let you all know that I'll be off for a week and taking a little break from blogging during this short time. Only because I cannot create or edit posts from the iPad, something I find frustrating. 

So HAPPY CHRISTMAS to all of you that read me all over the world (many thanks, by the way). 
I will be back just before or early in the new year with more crafts to show you. 

Buntings Galore / Banderines y mas banderines !

Y como os prometi, aqui tenéis los ultimo banderines que he hecho para niñas en este caso. 

Este primero es diferente porque normalmente los he hecho en tonos mas pastel, pero Vera tiene la habitación decorada con telas de Ikea así que le hice el banderín a juego con la colcha. 

As promised here are the last buntings I have made, for baby girls in this occasion. 

This first one is different as I normally make them in pastel colors, but Vera has an Ikea decorated room and so I made the bunting matching the Ikea cot duvet cover. 

Las letras en rojo para que destaque.

Y la parte de atras con la tela de cuadros tambien a juego con la colcha.

Este banderín es para Mia, una bebe nacida hace dos meses escasos. La habitación de Mia es crema así que se lo hice muy femenino con telas de florecitas en color aqua y fucsia.

This bunting is for Mia, a baby girl born 2 months ago. Her room is cream so I made this very feminine bunting with flower fabric in aqua color and fuchsia. 

Este es para Lara, una niña de 4 años que tiene la habitación en lila y rosa.

This one is for Lara, a 4 year old girl, her room is lilac and pink. 

Y los tres banderines se van a Irlanda, 2 de ellos ya están en camino !

And the 3 of them are going to Ireland, 2 of them are already on their way !

It's Christmas time in the city . . . Alcala de Henares

Antes de Navidad os queria enseñar donde vivo, una de las ciudades mas bonitas de Madrid, Alcala de Henares.
Su casco antiguo es Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la Unesco, y merece la pena visitar si estas en Madrid.

Just before Christmas I would like to show you the city where I live, one of the prettiest cities in Madrid, Alcala de Henares. 
It is actually World Heritage Town by Unesco (only the old town of Alcala de Henares), worth visiting when you are in Madrid.

Para terminar nuestro paseo tomamos la merienda (o desayuno pero en este caso fue merienda) mas madrileña que existe y mas reconfortante en una fría tarde: Chocolate con Churros . . . mmmmm ¡¡ Mi marido se pidió Bizcocho de Limon, que estaba muy rico también.

And to finish our stroll, we had our afternoon snack, the most madrilene afternoon meal you can have Chocolate con Churros (churros is a fried dough). 
Yummy !! My husband had the lemon sponge cake, which was quite delicious also. 

Progreso de la Manta Granny con Flores / Progress Made with the Granny Blanket with Flowers

Solo queria enseñaros como va quedando la mantita, ya que casi he terminado la segunda fila, me queda un cuadrado solo. La primera fila es la que tiene flores, la segunda la que no tiene. Voy a poner flores cada 3 o 4 filas, a ver como queda. 

Just wanted to show you as I have just finished row 2, well, 1 square from finished only. 

Row one is the one with the flowers, second row without flowers. I intend to make flower square every 3 or 4 rows, see how it looks. 

 Aun queda mucho para acabarla, pero bueno, poco a poco.
Still a lot left to finish it completely, oh well, step by step. 

Como podeis ver esta vez estoy uniendo los cuadros según voy haciendolos, me resulta mas fácil esta forma por varias razones:

Primero, porque da una pereza unirlos todos una vez los tienes hechos. . . por lo menos a mi.

Segundo, porque vas viendo como queda y es mas facil llevar un orden en los colores y la combinación

Tercero, poque vas avanzando en la manta y eso da mucho animo a continuar una labor, cuando ves que avanzas.

As you can see this time I'm joining the squares as I go, I find it easier this way for several reasons: 


a. I find it tedious to join them all after you have them all done. . . I feel that way about it. 

b. You can see how your blanket looks from the start and it is easier to carry through a logical order in the color combination.

c. Because you actually see progress from the very beginning and that gives a lot of courage!

Me encanta este momento y como queda la casa con decoración Navideña.

I just love this time of the year. To be honest, I rather prefer the lead up to Christmas than the key days. 

I love how the house looks, the coziness of it all.
